Amazon has opened a service called Amazon Mechanical Turk. There you can find small things people need help with. It can be anything to find synonyms to different words to help to organize data. If you are curious you’ll find over 50 similar services via this link.

  • Handyman?

On TaskRabbit, you can find people that need help with DIY things. Perfect for you who is handy, and like helping people.

  • Test websites

Many companies need help to test their websites. All you need is the Internet to make some money from a comfortable chair at home. Below you find a list of places you can work for:

  • Get paid for staying healthy

If you’re looking for an easy job, sorting and data entry can be perfect for you. On Craigslist and pages like Upwork, you can find these jobs. You can get $10-15/h.


  1. Social media – Set up and maintain a fan page

Are you into social media? Many people and companies need to communicate with fans. On pages like Upwork.com and Fiverr.com, you can find gigs to set up and maintain fan pages in social media. The job can pay $10-100/h

  1. Planning events

Do you have a natural flair for planning events? Why not do it from home instead? You don’t need a fancy event bureau to help people plan a wedding, birthday party, or company event. Typical tasks could be:

If you’re a licensed nurse but can’t go to the hospital to work, then you can try to work remotely for health insurer companies like Humana, Aetna and UnitedHealth Group. These companies are currently hiring nurses that can work from home.

  1. Teach languages via Skype or Zoom

We’re living in a global world where language skills are highly valued. Everybody is a native speaker in one language. Test your skills as a language teacher. Depending on the language you can make anything from $5/h up to $50/h. Check out pages like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer.com

  1. Online tutor

Via websites like Fiverr and Upwork, you can find opportunities to tutor people online. Are you good at playing guitar, piano, chess, cooking, painting, mathematics… This market is only growing. Putting up an ad about yourself doesn’t cost anything. It’s a great way to make some money and share your skills.

Perhaps you don’t have the strength to work full time in an office, but you have long experience in your field with special knowledge. Then we suggest that you try out online consulting. You can work on your own terms. Here is a good link for more information.

  1. Be the voice over

Do you have a special voice? There is an increasing demand for voices for animated movies, instruction videos, and commercials. If you’ve been told before that you have a powerful, beautiful or special voice… You can do voice-overs for videos. It can be done in any language! Here are some companies who do this:

  1. Become a ghostwriter

Do you love writing? 1000s of books are published every week, but only half are written by the real author.   • Translate texts

Video marketing is powerful to reach consumers, but it’s hard to rank on videos in Google and other search engines.   • Copywriter

There is an ever-growing demand for copywriters online. All online businesses need content and you can be the one serving them. You don’t need to be specialized in an area to create content. If you like writing, this could be the perfect area to test both your skills as a writer and your creativity. The commission varies and you can get paid by article, per word or hour.


  • Rent out a room on Airbnb

Do you have a spare room? Put it out on Airbnb and you can make some extra money from it. It’s easy and you don’t need to do any marketing yourself.

  • Rent out a car park

Do you have a car spot you don’t use? Why not list it on Craigslist to find someone that will rent it. A quick and easy way to make some extra money without any effort at all.

  • Walking dogs

If you like pets you can either walk dogs or open a daycare center for pets. Some people are very attached to their pets and would love to know that it’s taken care of when they are at work or go on vacation. This could be the perfect extra gig! The right person can combine their love for animals by making money.
